Middletown Spring Blast Report
March 22nd, 2009
Middletown, OH- The Alliance FC u10, u12, and u13 Girls traveled Ohio to
compete at the Middletown Blast and came up just short in two finals.
The u10 girls (pictured left) competed in the u11
Girls White Division and lost on PKs to a strong team from Northern
Kentucky. The girls kept possession for a good portion of the match
but, failed to capitalize.
The u12 Girls went 1-2 in the tournaments top division and showed marked improvement against ranked Ohio teams.
The
u13 Girls went 2-1-1 and fell 3-0 to a strong Crew Juniors team in the
Championship match. With the score tied 0-0 in the second half, the
girls were caught off guard by a well placed shot from 18 yards and
were never able to recover.
Overall, the girls had a great weekend as the goal of preparing for the spring season was met.
