CLUB INFORMATION UPDATED

We are pleased to be preparing for our sixth club year. As try-outs are fast approaching, please take the time to become informed about Alliance FC, the leagues in which we play, and our passion for the game.

Like many successful soccer clubs in America, Alliance FC is a privately owned club. The main benefit of this is to expedite decision making so that we get on with the game of soccer. Much time can be lost waiting for a board to meet and often the boards themselves are politically charged. We avoid these issues and are confident that you will find that every team within the club is of equal importance. The financial benefit is no more than non-profit clubs that pay coaches and a Director of Coaching. There are no ownership "royalties" and Alliance FC incurs the same expenses as any club. The fees collected for each year are used for that particular club year plan.

With this in mind, we work very hard to offer many choices and give our membership the value they deserve. We are excited about the upcoming year and everything Alliance FC has to offer. We are excited to be making a few important changes in our programming and look forward to continue to strengthen our leadership, management, and coaching staff.

Please check back prior to try-outs for updates and keep in mind that Alliance FC reserves the right to make changes at any time. It is our recommendation that you print this information of prior to attending try-outs in June.

OVERVIEW

Alliance Fusion (Select Soccer Teams) $350 per year. GVSA teams with volunteer coaches. Bring your entire team or ask to be placed on a team. Includes team camp. Please contact us at Alliance FC (616-956-7000) if you are a volunteer coach with a team or are looking for a spot to play. Uniform package is not included. Email our director here if you are interested in volunteering to coach a team.

Alliance FC (Premier Soccer Teams) $695 per year (u8-u11), $995 per year (u12-u14), and $495 per season (u15-u18). Price includes team camp for full year teams.

GENERAL TRY-OUT INFORMATION

All players must bring a ball, shin-guards and water bottle. Appropriate try-out attire is required. No t-shirts with club logos or shorts other than soccer shorts are permitted. Parents may stay for try outs but are not allowed on the field and /or sidelines. Areas may be marked.

HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR AGE GROUP
The youngest age group a player may tryout for is determined by the player’s age on July 31.

If they turn 12 on July 31 or earlier, they will play on a U13 or older team.
If they turn 12 on August 1 or later, they will play on a U12 or older team.

2007 TRY-OUT TIMES, COACHING ASSIGNMENTS, AND LEAGUES

There are no fees to try out for Alliance Fusion or Alliance FC teams.

We will hold try-outs for the following teams. Additional teams will be added when necessary.

Alliance FC reserves the right to make coaching and or league changes at any point during the seasonal year. Please keep in mind that you are playing for Alliance FC and not for a particular coach or league.

TEAM CAMP
Alliance FC team camp will be held August 27^th through August 30^th.

There is no fee for players registered for our 2007 -2008 seasons.

Location: Michigan Field Sports Complex (Lowell)

Times: TBA

Credit will not be given if you do not attend or if severe weather causes cancellations.

CLUB SPONSORED TOURNAMENTS

We are proud to sponsor two amazing tournaments. The River City Soccer Classic in October and the Spring Invite in April. Both tournaments are held at the Michigan Field Sports Complex. Alliance FC Coaches will not charge a coaching fee for these two tournaments. Registration entry fees will apply.

TRAVEL TOURNAMENTS
Tournament fees are not included. Premier and Select Coaches will choose which tournaments their teams will attend and the team Manager or team Tournament Delegate will collect fees one time per season. Team fee will include registration and $300 coaching fee.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Alliance Scholarships will be given on a financial need basis only. No scholarships over 50% will be awarded. Awards given may be a payment plan or a financial award. Scholarship requests will be accepted from May 15th to June 20th. To make a scholarship request e-mail it to alliancegear@sbcglobal.net. Include player & parents name & address, age group and reason for request. Proof of financial need may be required. (ex; school lunch program ID).

Lois Calvi Memorial Scholarship is given in honor of a wonderful wife, mother, and friend who had a strength and courage that touched many people in our soccer club. This $500 award is not necessarily need based and will be given to the player or players we feel exemplify the above attributes. Please submit your application by email to alliancegear@sbcglobal.net and tell us how you have had to use strength and courage in your life.

Donations and Fundraising for Alliance Scholarship We are always looking for ways of increasing the monies in our scholarship fund without passing the cost on to our club members. Please submit any fundraising ideas to alliancegear@sbcglobal.net.

Alliance Scholarship funds are due in part to generous donations by families and businesses and by the sale of Club Gear. If you or your business would like to make a donation to this fund please contact Abrahm Shearer at 616-956-7000.
