Peak Performance Home

As a club, we recognize four (4) stages that our players move through our system.  Details on the stages can be found by following this link.  The stages are The Developmental Stage (ages 6-9), The Training Stage (ages 9-12), The Team Stage (ages 12-15), and The Competitive Stage (Ages 15-18).  Our reference guide for peak performance is meant to primarily be a guide for players u11 and above.  It will be very difficult to break our information down further by age but, when we see it important to do so, we will.  References will always be cited and links to original articles will be set up.

Technique      
To become a top level player, one can not simply rely on the 3-5 hours per week that is set up for team training.  In fact, it can be argued that the single most important factor in a top player meeting their goals is the amount of work they put in away from practice.


Fitness
Here, we will try to give you and your child a sense of what it ultimately means to be fit for the game of soccer.  This will include running and strength training.


Psychology
Our goal here is to give our parents and players a sense of how to deal with different issues surrounding the game.  





Speed and Agility
Become faster, quicker, and lighter on your feet and you will make great strides in any sport.  In soccer 80% of the game should be played below the knee so, it is even more important.
